I'm an experienced Spanish tutor who has been helping students master the art of speaking and writing the Spanish language for many years. My approach to tutoring this language is to engage the student in a full submersion of the language. I have them work through reading, speaking, listening, and writing the language, while improving their confidence in their ability to master the subject. I'm overjoyed when I see their excitement as they begin to see their efforts pay off, and we have complete conversations in Spanish. I've not only studied Spanish, but have lived in Spanish-speaking countries. As a teenager, I lived in the country of Venezuela for two years. When I was in college, I had the opportunity to spend 6 months in Spain under the Foreign Study program. I participated in work study as a program teacher for English studies in Guatemala. I've been a middle school and high school Spanish teacher now for 11 years, and have 4 years of experience teaching in the online environment. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education/Spanish while attending Kalamazoo College in Michigan, and earned a master's degree in Education, with ESL Endorsement, while attending the University of Texas.
